North Dakota State Licensure

North Dakota issues no O&P licenses.  However, certification is required for individuals
providing custom orthotics and prosthetics.

The statute creating certification requirement is part of the Pharmacy Practice Act.  See page 13.

Additionally, suppliers providing custom orthotics, prosthetics, and diabetic footwear must employ or contract with an individual who holds a national certification through the American Board of Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC) to provide these items.
