Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is held in August for children and adolescents with limb loss. Started in 1981, the camp provides campers with mentoring and counseling as well as the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities.   

AMPOWER

AMPOWER community is a free resource for individuals to connect and discuss a variety of topics related to the life of amputees.

Amputee Coalition

The Amputee Coalition is the nation’s leading organization for individuals with limb loss, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for amputees and their families, improving patient care, and raising public awareness.

DAV

Disabled American Veterans is a non-profit that empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. They work to ensure that veterans and their families have access to their full range of benefits, fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

Limb Care Foundation

The mission of Limb Care Foundation is to promote multidisciplinary approaches to limb salvage, function and patient quality of life through relevant & meaningful education, advocacy and outreach. Our three primary functions are receiving and distributing durable medical equipment prosthetic orthotic supplies (DMEPOS) to those experiencing homelessness and the financially disadvantaged, providing grants to uninsured or underinsured patients to obtain the DMEPOS related to their limb needs and scholarships for students pursuing specific careers in healthcare.

Mobility Saves

​Mobility Saves​ is the site for a major new study commissioned by the Amputee Coalition which shows that Medicare costs are lower or similar for patients who received orthotic or prosthetic services, compared to patients who need, but do not receive, these services. Move United

Move United's mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, competition, recreation, high performance sport and educational programs. Move United annually serves 100,000 youth, wounded warriors and adults through a nationwide network of over 170 community-based chapters in more than 40 states nationwide. 

O&P Care

ABC’s consumer website created to help consumers find the answers and resources they need for all of their prosthetic, orthotic and pedorthic care needs. Resources include: definitions of terminology, help locating a qualified, credentialed provider or accredited facility and information about support groups and activities.  

Paddy Rossback Youth Camp

The Amputee Coalition Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp is a five day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10-17 who have limb loss or who were born with limb differences. The camp offers challenging activities that build campers' confidence regardless of skill level. 

Pedorthic Foundation

The Pedorthic Foundation was established as a charitable institution in 1975 to advance the field of pedorthics. In addition, their mission is to assist the pedorthic community by increasing awareness of the profession and through support  of research, scholarships and charitable activities.
