V. Application of the Code
C5.1 — Adherence to the Code and the Rules
The Code and the Rules shall apply to all ABC Credential Holders, NCOPE residents, applicants for ABC credentials, applicants for ABC exams and applicants for facility accreditation.
Adherence to the Code includes, without limitation, the actions of an ABC accredited facility’s employees and/or independent contractors who provide patient care services or act as representatives for the facility, regardless of their individual credentialed status. The ABC credentialed principals, owners and officers of a facility shall be responsible for the facility’s employees’ and independent contractors’ compliance with the Code and the Rules, regardless of whether such employees or independent contractors are credentialed.
