(a) Orthotist. The examination for licensure as an orthotist shall be the orthotist certification examinations of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(b) Prosthetist. The examination for licensure as a prosthetist shall be the prosthetist certification examinations of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(c) Prosthetist/Orthotist. The examination for licensure as a prosthetist/orthotist shall be both the prosthetist and orthotist certification examinations of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(d) Pedorthist. The examination for licensure as a pedorthist shall be the pedorthist certification examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(e) Assistant. The examination for licensure as an assistant shall be the orthotice and/or prosthetic assistant certification examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(f) Orthotic fitter. The examination for licensure as an orthotic fitter shall be the orthotic fitter certification examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(g) Mastectomy fitter. The examination for licensure as a mastectomy fitter shall be the mastectomy fitter certification examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(h) Therapeutic shoe fitter. The examination for licensure as a therapeutic shoe fitter shall be the therapeutic shoe fitter certification examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(i) Technician. The examination for licensure as a technician shall be the orthotic and/or prosthetic technician examination of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc.
(j) Candidates shall make application for the examination and pay the examination fee directly to the designated testing service. If the candidate fails, neglects or refuses to take an examination or fails to pass an examination for licensure under this Act, their application shall be denied. All fees are nonrefundable. The candidate must make a new application for examination accompanied by the required fee and must furnish proof of meeting qualifications for licensure in effect at the time of the new application.
(k) Application to the designated testing service for purposes of taking the examination shall not constitute application to the (Agency).
