ABC Donates $1.5 Million to Advance OP&P Education and Research

ABC is proud to announce a transformative $1.5 million donation to the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research (O&P Foundation). This substantial contribution demonstrates ABC's unwavering commitment to advancing the profession of orthotics, prosthetics and pedorthics.

This pioneering gift makes ABC the first major donor to the O&P Foundation, setting a powerful example for others to follow. "In any new endeavor, someone must always be the first," said Chris Fairman, CPO and O&P Foundation Chair. “The O&P Foundation will be eternally grateful to ABC and its board of directors who decided to commit substantial resources. This donation will catalyze efforts to transition to a sustainable endowment model, allowing the O&P Foundation to expand awareness beyond the O&P community.”

The donation will have far-reaching impacts through the O&P Foundation’s education, research and professional awards programs, fostering a future where OP&P providers and researchers are equipped to provide and elevate the highest quality of patient care. 

“ABC is honored to be part of this new chapter in OP&P,” remarked Billy Lester, CPO and ABC Board President. “We invite everyone in the community to join us in supporting the O&P Foundation and celebrating this milestone.
