During April’s Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, ABC, AOPA and NCOPE staff came together in support of a groundbreaking policy initiative, So Every BODY Can Move. The group walked through Old Town Alexandria to raise money and awareness for this important grassroots effort.

Currently, 25+ states have joined the So Every BODY Can Move initiative and are working to introduce legislation supporting and expanding access to medically necessary orthotic and prosthetic care for physical activity. This initiative aims to enact legislation in 28 states by the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics to move the initiative toward federal reform.
