Honoring Decades of Dedication: Celebrating ABC’s Long-Standing Volunteers

ABC is proud to recognize the service of two long-standing and dedicated volunteers.

After 40 years of volunteering, William D. Beiswenger, CPO, FAAOP, has retired as Candidate Liaison for the Prosthetic CPM Exam. In recognition of his dedicated service, the Candidate Lounge at the ABC Testing Center in Tampa was named in his honor. A special recognition ceremony was held on September 22. We wish Bill much happiness in his retirement and will miss his passion, warmth and humor.

On the same day, another long-standing volunteer, John Reynolds, CPO, FAAOP, was honored for his 36 years of service to the profession. His dedication and commitment were recognized with ABC’s William D. Beiswenger Volunteer Award – presented to him by the award’s namesake recipient!

John’s extensive volunteer record with ABC includes:

  • CPM Examiner for 30+ years
  • ABC Board of Directors member and all officer positions, including President in 2001
  • Scope of Practice Committee, member for 15+ years and current Chair
  • Long Range Examination Advisory Committee, Chair
  • Professional Credentialing Committee, Chair
  • Exam Development Committee
  • Practice Analysis Task Force, 2000

This award is presented to no more than one person every 3-5 years.
