Establishing a positive workplace culture leads to happier and more productive employees. We are always looking for educational opportunities to help you and your staff incorporate positive culture in your practice. At this year’s Academy Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, three sessions focused on workplace culture caught our attention. These courses are available to everyone on the Academy’s Online Learning Center, as well as other courses that highlight tips on positive workplace culture.
Here’s a quick look at what they are:
When approaching a new professional opportunity, how do you ensure you receive equitable pay for your education, experience and location? Discussions include discrepancies in pay across business models, historically marginalized groups and the value of intangible benefits that companies offer.
Although we work regularly with patients who may require accommodations, this is just as true with many of our O&P colleagues. This panel discussion includes insights about empowering human potential to create an equitable and inclusive work environment for all O&P professionals.
A celebration of the diverse and supportive community that makes up our profession. The panelists discussed ways they have made the most of their professional journey, leaning on the support of their mentors and colleagues to grow—both personally and professionally.
We hope these opportunities for education and workplace culture resources will help you learn and grow. For more information and resources, please visit our Workplace Culture Resources page.
