This May, in partnership with the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research (The Foundation), we proudly awarded the 2023 ABC Student Poster Prizes and inaugural ABC O&P Technician Scholarships. We’d like to highlight these amazing individuals who are sure to make a positive impact on the O&P profession.  

ABC Student Poster Prizes

Each recipient was selected for their research presented in poster format at the 2023 American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium on March 1-4 in Nashville.

ABC O&P Technician Scholarships

Recipients were selected from CAAHEP accredited O&P technician programs based on specific eligibility criteria. Each recipient was awarded $5,000.

Did you know that The Foundation (which was formed in 2022 when OPERF and COPL merged), is dedicated to achieving the highest quality of orthotic and prosthetic care through excellence in education and research, a vision we can truly get behind. OPERF and COPL, now The Foundation, have supported researchers, students and educators through grants, scholarships and awards over the last two decades and have made an immense impact on the O&P profession.
