The field of orthotics and prosthetics has changed dramatically over the last 30 years from how and when we can provide services to patients to the types of orthotic and prosthetic systems available to help patients achieve their goals. Over the years, I have been truly blessed to be a part of the wonderful team of volunteers at ABC serving this great profession. Through all of my interactions, I have received far more than I can ever repay. I look forward to the year to come and am ready to meet any challenges during my presidency head on. I’m excited to continue with such wonderful programs as the ABC student scholarships, POP Career Awareness Initiative and other efforts we are working on to enhance the profession, patient interaction and benefits to being an ABC credential holder. - Richard A.
