Annual Certification Renewal Fees to Increase this December

Effective immediately for the 2022 renewal year (fees due December 1, 2021), all ABC certified individuals will see an increase in their annual certification renewal fees ranging from $10 to $55 depending on discipline. Please refer to the chart below to see the exact increase for your credential(s).

We have long been committed to keeping certification costs as low as possible. Since 1989, practitioner certification annual fees have only increased three times with the last increase in 2002, a total of only $75 over 33-years. Therapeutic Shoe Fitter fees have only increased twice, Assistant fees once and fees for all of our other credentials have never increased. 

We are committed to offering you the most for your certification and an increase in fees is necessary not only for increased operational costs, but to support additional activities such as: 

  • Programs aimed at enhancing the recognition and prestige of the ABC credentials 
  • Increased ability to track continuing education credits online 
  • Support for those entering the profession through evolving exams and state of the art exam administration
  • Support for the legislative efforts of the profession 
  • Financial support for other non-profit and charitable organizations within the OP&P profession
  • An upcoming multifaceted OP&P Career Awareness Initiative to help advance the profession by raising awareness of the orthotics and prosthetics profession among high school and college students
