We will be conducting a new practice analysis study for certified prosthetists and orthotists later this summer. A practice analysis, also known as a job analysis or role delineation, is a study to determine current trends in patient care, technology and practice management. It also identifies priorities unique in the delivery of orthotic and prosthetic patient care, including information on which highly critical tasks are performed by all certified orthotists and prosthetists.

We will need your participation! In late August, all ABC certified prosthetists and ortho- tists will be contacted by our testing consultant Prometric, asking you to respond to the detailed survey. It is critical that you complete the survey and participate in this important analysis of the profession. Updating the practice analysis helps the profession adapt to changes in the delivery of O&P care.
