"The amount of knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm the advocates showed was truly inspirational and exactly what is needed to get this bill over the finish line in Congress," according to Eve Lee, AOPA Executive Director.

ABC participated in AOPA’s 2021 Virtual Policy Forum and we congratulate them on their success! 

During the two-week event, 150 advocates attended education sessions and met with their Senators, Representatives  and their staffs in hopes of gaining support for the Medicare Orthotics and Prosthetics Patient-Centered Care Act. Attendees met with more than 100 legislators encouraging support for the bill, which will be introduced in the Senate  in early June and co-sponsored by Senator Chuck Grassley.

The Policy Forum certainly generated momentum that will help get this important piece of legislation passed, but AOPA plans to send out regular communications and actions that advocates can use to further assist in moving the Act forward.
